For almost ten years now Travis Bishop has been tearing up the honky tonks and bars all across Kentucky and Tennessee. Travis has played every type of venue and stage, from local dive bars, pubs and smoky dance halls all the way to some of the biggest stages in Nashville, TN. For the last five years, Travis has been leading full band shows almost every night on historic Broadway in downtown Nashville. Travis started performing at a young age, falling in love with music at the age of two. Being an active member of several school choirs from 4th grade through graduation, Travis was trained in a variety of musical styles and genres.
Country music, however, was always Travis’ first love. George Strait, Alabama, Kenny Chesney and of course, Garth Brooks, were among the many artists that first influenced Travis. He started playing guitar and writing songs at the age of sixteen, then moved to Texas at the age of twenty-one. Rounding out Travis’ influences then were Texas/Red Dirt country artists like Trent Willmon, Bleu Edmondson and Cross Canadian Ragweed. In 2010 Travis moved back home to Louisville, Ky, to pursue a full-time music career, and that led him to Nashville not long after.
Travis has opened for many notable artists including Keith Anderson, Chris Lane, Frankie Ballard, Toby Keith, Luke Bryan and many others. Travis currently lives in Nashville and continues to play 4-6 high-energy shows a week with no signs of slowing down!
